The AB2 Dental Clinic is an open space with multiple open bays for dental cleaning and X-Ray/Quiet rooms along the perimeter.

The goal of the project was to update the clinic to Nationwide Children’s Hospital design standards, provide much needed storage, and add a level of privacy between the bays while allowing staff the ability to see and communicate with each other.

Accent flooring was used to define the edge of the various bays and rooms along the perimeter.  In addition, the subtle color difference gives direction to the appropriate bay.  Translucent colored panels are incorporated into the open space to add a level of interest and privacy to the individual bays.  The two-tone translucent panels change in color as one walks past them, adding a dramatic yet simple playfulness. Casework was increased and made mobile where flexibility was required.
